There is a lot of speculation about the whole food plant based diet and the majority of it just simply isn’t true. Many people say that eating a whole food plant based diet will make our body become deficient in nutrients we need like protein. However this simply isn’t true. We can get everything we need from a whole food plant based diet with the exception of vitamin B12, which is advised to be taken in the supplement form if on such a diet.
The whole food plant based diet is a selection of four groups of foods. These groups are beans, fruit, whole grains and vegetables. Not only has this been scientifically proven to be the healthiest diet on the planet at this moment in time, research has also shown that eating the correct nutrition, can actually slow down and even reverse some chronic diseases.

This is because most of the time, doctors don’t know much about nutrition. However if you read or watch what doctors that studied nutrition have to say, they all have helped patients solely from changing their diet to a whole food plan based diet.
People often don’t know how important nutrition is for our bodies simply due to a lack of education. Doctors these days would rather distribute medication rather than research themselves on how nutrition can help their patients. Furthermore, there is very little investment in teaching people about nutrition because that may cause people to reduce the need to buy medication effecting a lot of big pharmaceutical companies.
Why Everyone Should Eat a Whole Food Plant Based Diet
As previously stated, not only is a whole food plant based diet the healthiest diet on the planet, it can change people’s lifestyles dramatically. Additionally a whole food plant based diet can save you money on groceries, rather than buying meat, fish and dairy related products which much more expensive.
Additionally, if everyone starts making the change and started eating a whole food plant based diet we could potentially help save our planet. The meat industry in the USA emits more greenhouse gases than the entire transport industry, including cars, trains, boats and airplanes put together. You can see this needs to be stopped. Furthermore the Amazon rain forest will no longer be cut down for grazing land for animals to live and then be killed because people think we ‘have’ to eat meat to survive.
